Actually, that’s My Web 2.0 beta.
Goodness, the last thing we need is a giant like Yahoo peddling this “Web 2.0″ silliness. I mean, let’s not ignore that it’s a rip of del.icio.us, combined with the dumbest use of something already dumb (page rank) that I’ve ever heard of.
I don’t use del.icio.us anyway… it’s nice, and I thank all the users who have tagged my websites, but I just think that a laundry list of links isn’t so exciting. I prefer Digg, where the best links are voted to the top, and you can browse the links by category. It’s more practical than Yahoo telling me that this new “page rank” technology will “allow me to create my own search engine, and get the results that best match who I am.”
How about I tell you what I want to search for in your little search box and you return the best result? Can’t do that? Then get back to work.

Responses to my articleTo lighten on the Yahoo bashing, let me mention that there are a lot of other Yahoo products I like. I especially like the latest Yahoo search page for Yahoo members, as well as their somewhat semantic search results.
