CSS Reboot Launch!

Posted on November 1.

Welcome to anyone coming from CSS Reboot. This here be my website.

Keeping up with Reboot lately has been interesting. Seems like a lot of websites are just spam. You can tell when you see them… generic design, no doctype tag, no mention of redesigning… clearly just people spamming CSS Reboot to get free exposure. Well, it's a shame. I'll definitely give any websites like that a zero when I go about voting for other sites, because it's just not right.

But on to lighter topics… joining Reboot was a good thing. It forced me to get this website done by November 1, and now that it is, I'm really glad I have a good, stable website and blog to use. Maybe I'll become popular, maybe I'll be invited to 9rules (I hope I hope…). Or maybe I'll just slide under the radar like most everyone else. I hope not.

Enough of my rambling. Enjoy the website :)

Hi there and congrats with your 'reboot'!
I found your blog via referrers. You kindly mentioned my website (Bloklantis) in your colophon, thanks!

You also mention in your about section, you're looking for an internship in Europe.
I'm working at Fredhopper.com in The Netherlands (Amsterdam) at the moment and we are currently looking for a web developer trainee.
If you drop me an email, I can send you the job opening description…
Sorry I post it in here, but I couldn't find a contact form?!

The next 9rules submission is coming up soon, so feel free to submit. We'll give you the same shot we give everybody else ;)

Agree'd about the spamming and people using CSS Reboot for marketing but not rebooting. Everyone's money hungry though — we've built our society around it.

I found most of the Reboot quite disappointing this November.
