Say So

Posted on November 6.

There's a new website called SaySo. It's so new, it was launched last friday night. Since then it has had tons of traffic. I checked it out yesterday and it looks really cool. Let me explain why I think it's a winner.

Say-So describes itself as "the free and easy way to speak your mind." It's a polling website, where you can post a question and have others vote or comment. I think I like it better than any other quick poll website I've ever seen, and it's especially nice for anyone who can't do a poll on their own website, or would just like more traffic to their question. Did I mention it's free?

More impressive is that it doesn't use the Web 2.0 hype model, though I'm sure some people will be classifying it as another "Web 2.0" app soon. The homepage is very clear and straightforward, no pastels or artsy words. It's supported by advertisements, that is, one advertisement in the top right corner. And it doesn't require any sign up, which is surprising. You just put your e-mail, and it give you a link where you can go through the process of writing a post. If you want to write another, put your e-mail again and get another link. Very easy!

Check out this Say-So post: Is there another name for Web 2.0?

I've started a "Say-So Post" here, I wonder if people will respond. Let me know if you find Say-So cool too.
