I’m still an electrical engineer

Posted January 23 in Life.

The first day of 6th semester and I’m still an electrical engineer. My classes are:

  • ECE 486: Electromagnetic Waves and Communications
  • ECE 488: Radio Frequency Circuits and Systems
  • ECE 320: Networks and Systems
  • INFO 230: Intermediate Design and Programming for the Web
  • GERST 122: Exploring German Contexts 2 (arts classes have the dumbest names)

I really don’t know what to expect of this semester, but I think I’m starting off with a better attitude, or something. Even though last semester was the hardest yet and one of my classes didn’t go as expected, I think it has given me a good understanding of what electrical engineering is really like and what I need to do to keep up. This semester will (hopefully) involve more studying and might even involve classes I like or understand. Obviously I am looking forward to INFO 230 the most since I’ll learn to work with SQL databases and have an understanding of how to build my own content management solutions rather than trying to bend Wordpress to handle small, atypical websites… though Wordpress still does a good job.

Here’s to another semester of sleepless nights, long assignments, painful exams and hours upon hours spend in front of my computer, studying or avoiding my studying with web design. How exciting!
