Z-List Series Part 1: Foxy M Cloud

Posted April 10 in Life.

This is the first entry in the Z-List Series, where I will be exploring non A-list blogs that deserve more readers. To learn more, check out the $10,000 blog challenge.

Site 1 up for show is foxy m cloud, my favorite personal blog. Foxy happens to be my fianceé and I’ve been following her blog since she started back in November. Like me, she moved from LiveJournal to the world of self-hosted blogging in hopes of greater control and more readership. Since then I’d say she’s being doing this blogging thing pretty well. I think the best way to describe her blog is just to say that it’s cuter than any other personal blog out there. The writing is witty and there are often lots of great pictures to accompany it. I usually drool at the macro-shots of delicious food, of which Foxy is definitely a connoisseur. Here are my favorite entries from foxy m cloud:

Do check out Foxy’s site today. It’s a great blog for everyone who enjoys reading personal blogs. And stay tuned for the next entry in the Z-List Series.

Do I see similarities between your own page and her personal blog? Those macro shots of food definitely make me want to eat.

Derek: If you look at the footer you’ll see I’m the template designer :)

Oh I noticed your presence in the footer. I just thought I’d voice the fact that I see some similarities ;)

Yeah, I have to admit my creative juices were not flowing for a while. During that time I was working on this design, that design, and a couple others, and I wasn’t getting very far. Liquid Designs suffered too.

Fortunately I’m getting out of my slump. I have some good changes to make here before May 1st and some others over at foxymcloud.com, and eventually I’d like to complete redesign Liquid Designs, but it will take a while.

Promoting the lesser known blogs sounds a great idea to me. I love finding blogs and hearing different voices. The same voice or range of voices over and over just bores people. I see CSS Reboot as another great source of finding interesting blogs and sites myself. I am glad you are taking part again, I am too. Like a fool I seem to be doing more than one site again… not much time for sleeping currently for any rebooter.
