Sneak Preview

May 1st is really, really close and I’ve been working hard to finalize this design before then. It’s a good thing that I started early because right now I’m swamped with 2 final projects, an exam next week, and the usual problem sets/quizzes/etc. I’ve moved some of the redesign work offline, so there’s actually a reason to check back on the launch date. In the meantime, I figured a sneak preview inspired by Avalonstar was in order. Here ya go:

This reminds me of those macro images in kids magazines where you had to figure out what the object is. I’ll be surprised if anyone can guess this one. And if anyone is wondering, the lines in the footer are placeholders for images that I will upload on May 1st.

So now it’s time for more suggestions. For one thing, there’s a fat empty space in the sidebar that needs filling. I’m thinking of moving the “previous entries” section over there, but that would only apply to the homepage. Any other ideas are definitely welcome, as well as suggestions for the site as a whole. Be as critical as necessary
