I couldn’t resist these

Posted June 2 in Flock It.

This is the web 2.0 shirt:

It's the Kool-Aid man, saying: Web 2.0 Ohh Yeah!

It’s totally awesome. You can get yours at the feed store. It’s a must have. (If you don’t get it, read “Drinking the Kool-Aid”.) Found via The Trademark Blog.

As for Tom, I think responding to a crucial matter with a public blog entry rather than an e-mail is totally HIP. Get with the future people! Don’t proliferate private discussions and lame web 1.0 communication! BLOG EVERYTHING!

But really, I think this whole thing could have been avoided if Tom never bothered to USE THE STUPID TERM “WEB 2.0″ TO BEGIN WITH.

In almost unrelated news, has anyone noticed how painful Tim’s tag cloud is? Ugh, I can’t even begin to comment on this one.

And in completely unrelated news, I’m a “web design A-lister” according to the geek times. Wow, that’s a very nice thing to say. I know tons of people would disagree, but I do try :)

Back to the Kool-Aid, I just have to quote THE SCOBLEIZER:

“When I saw this sign, I thought of the blogosphere. Funny that! :-) The sign was guarding the Artists’ Paintpots in Yellowstone National Park. What is it? It’s a mudpit. A clay pit, actually. Through the clay would pop up bubbles of gas. That caused the mud to get thrown up to five feet away. It’s nature’s way of blogging. The latest news bubbles up. Phhlllurbt. Phhlllurbt. Phhlllurbt.”

NO COMMENT… I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SAY… except that it’s clear that if I ever wish to have a more successful blog, I need to stop being so coherent. Spewing random onomatopeias would be much more conducive to my success.

(I should also mention that there’s a typo in there… it’s spelled phhllurbt.)

OK, I do have something to say… now I know why Vista and IE 7 are so seriously delayed. ZING!

Another thing: I promise I’ll stay away from Digg, but if you totally wanna stick-it to the trolls, you can digg my last entry. Fight the good fight! Yeehaw!

In less interesting personal news, it’s 8 days ’til my flight and I still don’t have an apartment in Frankfurt… but nevermind that, did you see my portfolio yet? Post anything you like in the comments, and if you can’t think of anything to say, then do tell: what’s your favorite flavor of Kool-Aid?

You’re off to holiday in Frankfurt (Soccer?!) or is jobwise? Lived in Germany for a time, neat place.

It’s a job. I’ll be working at Mainova AG for about 2 months. The only thing that’s left is to find an apartment.

You were on the verge of incoherence in this entry.:P

When did you start saying “Yeehaw!”?? I’m the one out in the midwest, not you, remember?

I may have been on the verge of incoherence, but it was still a quality entry. I made myself laugh, which isn’t hard at all.
