The Long Haul

I have to write this now, because it has been more than a week since my last serious blog entry and I’m getting blogging withdrawal.

I’m in the long haul; moving in for my senior year at Cornell and trying to roll new projects out the door before classes kick in. I have two sites planned and in the works right now as well as a whole lot of web work and blogging on the way. What is getting in the way of things, besides all the recent traveling and unpacking, is that I am moving my hosting for all of my sites to a much better server with Zanzaban. This means transferring domains, moving databases, etc. It is time consuming and I can’t promise that my sites won’t be down for some time in the process (but I do hope to keep the downtime at 20 minutes maximum each).

This is all for the better and if I keep my eyes on the prize and push forward through this long haul then I will have lots of great things to share with you soon. To give you an idea of some of the things I am working on, here are some details:

• I am launching a blog about my senior year at Cornell, to focus far more on my personal life than I do here
• I am launching a blog which I will co-host with my fianceé about bad fashion
• I have some CSS tutorials and general blogging and design related entries in the queue, waiting to be written
• I will redesign this site, and I think it will solve many of the problems this current design has faced

Hopefully, good things are in store here. I’m off to get some sleep.

p.s. I would like to ask for your prayers, as I was sick over the weekend after returning from Nicaragua and am currently on a liquids-only diet in case I may have contracted some sort of bacteria or parasite. I know it sounds terrible, and I do miss my steaks and chicken sandwiches greatly. I’ll let you all know my progress in a couple days; I’m thinking I’ll be just fine.
