The Daily Report, for just one day

Posted October 20 in Life.

When you have a lot to say, make a list.

  • Web 2.0 design has reached an all-time low. Check out the new logo for Scrybe(TM):

This one is really obvious, but I’ll explain it anyway. People, if you have a wet-floor reflection, how does it make sense to have a letter extending past the baseline of the reflection? Wouldn’t this letter be going into the water or through the floor? Can we agree that visual design is far more aesthetic when it MAKES PHYSICAL SENSE? I hope nobody paid for this garbage, it’s awful.

  • Google Checkout decided to screw with zefrank. According to Google, zefrank’s new revenue machine (gimmesomecandy.com) is a donation system, and Google has decided that their Checkout platform doesn’t support donations. According to ze, Google Checkout, recently strapped with YouTube, has a problem with video blogs that can actually MAKE money. Zing. From here on, zefrank will be using Paypal.

  • I have to quote M. Strange here, who just finished a 3-year project making a feature animated film all by himself. You could learn something here:

“I haven’t watched television in 4 years and after I stopped my creativity went through the roof… Get rid of all the “noise” in your life…”

I keep telling people, I don’t miss television one bit. I don’t care much for movies either. All that fake stuff is so uninspiring, even when it pretends to be real (like “reality” TV).

  • Check out this song, it’s nice: Exploding Hearts - Shattered (link is at the end of the article). While you are at it, you might as well check out this classic by Kavinsky: Testarossa Autodrive. You could also check out his myspace, which has to be the coolest myspace around. I’m sure you can agree, if you are willing to abuse your eyes.

  • I’m spending Friday night alone, with a 6-pack of Hoegaarden to keep me company. Foxy came by with some Uruguayan Empanadas a little while ago to make it up, but you can still feel sorry for me, right? Yes? Ok.

Enjoy your weekends :)

Great news, finally an online calender arrives in the web 2.0 era.
The offline feature is my favorite feature of Scrybe.

Thank you for sharing this story with me !

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned, Scrybe does look cool. It’s a very feature-rich calendar application.

    Foxy is uruguayan?

  4. Christian Montoya October 25, 2006

No, it’s one of her close friends that is.

Oh. (it was just because I’m Argentinian)
