I made a little progress today in the direction of a new design. If you click the link “Domo On” up in the navigation bar, you can view it. I’m using a cookie based theme-switch which activates an extra CSS file when you click that link. If you want to turn it back off, click “Domo Off.” Feel free to leave suggestions and ideas on what I have so far.

Responses to my articlePretty slick. I used a script in the past to do this same thing here http://billy-girlardo.com/Homepage/index.html.
With it, you can have multiple versions, but yours has advantages too. Thanks.
Billy, it that URL doesn’t seem to work. I get “The requested URL http:// was not found on this server.”
I’m going to post the cookie code that I used here soon, it’s pretty nice for just adding an extra stylesheet.
I like this dark version better. Maybe because it feels like the old old design. And I love the little monster (I’ve seen it in a lot of places, but I’m clueless as to what is it)
Julián: Here you go: Domo Kun FAQ.
P.S. Here’s a quick and easy way to get caught up with the awesomeness: All Domo-kun episodes on Google Video, in one.
Yey the little guy is back !
Love the theme switcher too! I can’t decide which theme I like now!
I did notice after submitting that comment that I was using the redundant index.html, so I went through my stuff and deleted 5 occurrences wherever that arose, but I just tried it again from the above comment and it opened right up.
Anyway, I was just using it for a background color switcher. It could, of course, be used for a completely different layout too, but I had moved on by then. G/L.
Oh ok, I finally saw the example that you wanted to show me. I’m not sure why I get the error page when I try to access the HTML file address, but it works with just the directory.
