My ECE 476: Intro to Microcontrollers professor was explaining to us in class a few moments ago that we have to talk about usability and specifications when we write our final project reports. One of the things he mentioned was that we have to explain how our projects will be used by those who are color blind. He said:
"0.1% of females are color blind. 6 to 8% of males are color blind. Think about that when you are using flashing red LEDs."
I think it's cool that even with such simple applications like LEDs, we still have to think about usability.
