- In case anyone is wondering why I am suddenly being so market-minded, I took my car to the shop today for what I thought would amount to a quick, less-than-half-an-hour hose replacement and it turned out to be, your-car-will-be-here-until-friday-and-the-bill-will-be-$800. Actually, the original quote was $1150 but I managed to bargain that down… prod me for the story if you want to know how. Why do we have the most expenses when we have the least money? I don't know but there's some nice stuff on eBay these days.
