Next week I will be attending the 2008 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, along with the rest of the SGN crew. I will be attending the casual gaming summit and meeting up with people, but to be honest, I'm just going for the parties.
The week after, on Feb 27th, I will be driving to Cornell. I will be conducting an infosession on Thursday (the 28th) where I will be explaining what SGN is all about, what "social gaming" is, and what kinds of opportunities we have available for full-time hires and internships. The following day, I will be visiting RIT for the same reason. I will be staying at Cornell over the weekend.
After that, sometime in the month of March, I will be moving to Palo Alto, CA. SGN is going to be based out there, so I'm just going where the money is. I'm still surprised to be returning to the valley after such a short time, especially considering that I was convinced I would not be heading back, but God loves surprises.
So here's to all the people I'll be meeting over the next few weeks, and to hoping that everything goes smoothly. If you will be in the right place at the right time and would like to meet up, let me know. I'm always up for socializing
No trips to Miami planned anytime soon?
The next time I'm planning to be in Miami is the week of July 12th (I'm getting married).
You're going for the parties? Will you attempt a drinking party in your hotel room with strobe lights and loud music? Ain't no party like a SGN party.
If I want a real party, I'll stop in Scranton on my way to Cornell.
Hey man, if you ever feel like chillaxing in Phoenix/Scottsdale before you make it to Palo Alto, hit me up.
Ah, I'm sure you'll be incredibly busy then! I'm sure there's no point in me saying this, but take lots of pictures
I don't know whether that sounds incredibly tiring or brilliantly exciting. Either way, best of luck and I hope the move goes OK.
I'm in SF right now and this conference is a lot of fun… I saw some really cool game industry stuff at the expo yesterday. Good times
v cool that you're there - it looks super exciting from all the web coverage of the conf!
I'm back in VA now; if I get featured in any of that "web coverage," I'll post an update here
