Construct is now open-source

Posted on March 5, 2010.

I have decided to bump Construct up to version 1.0, meaning that I definitely will not do any more work on it, and release the current state of code under the open-source FreeBSD License. You can download the code at the Git repository. It's my hope that releasing this as open-source will encourage others to build more powerful tools based on my original idea, that of a layout editor that generate pure, semantic HTML and CSS. And while I'm on the topic, have you seen Boks?

    That's a cool move!
Thanks for the Boks link, I appreciate it.

Pretty proud to say that it's its 1rst birthday these days and it has been downloaded 37,000+ times, yay!
