OrbCatcher, my first iPhone game

Posted on April 18, 2010.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: I have designed & developed my first iPhone game, and it's available right now on iTunes. Get OrbCatcher for just $0.99, or read on to learn more about it.

OrbCatcher is a simple yet addictive plinko/pachinko style game. There are two game modes, each with 3 different difficulty levels to play. In Game A, you tap anywhere on the screen to make an "orb" fall, and it must bounce through rows of pegs and land on a moving "goal" bar below. You have 90 seconds to get as many orbs as possible to hit the goal, and you can only drop one orb at a time. In Game B, the orbs drop randomly and you must move the goal left and right (by tapping the left and right sides of the screen) to catch them.

I put a lot of hard work into this game, and if it's successful, I hope to be able to develop many more games for iPhone/iPod touch. I also hope to be able to hire an artist (I did all the graphics for this one myself) and buy an iPad so I can develop for that too. Please check out my new game and if you like it, share it with your friends. Also, if you are a blogger and would be willing to post a review of OrbCatcher on your website, I can send you a promo code. Just let me know.

Get OrbCatcher on iTunes now

p.s. the "lite" version of OrbCatcher, which features one difficulty level and one game mode only, will be available on the app store soon.
