WordPress Plugin: Blend Shortcode

I just finished developing my first WordPress plugin. Meet Blend Shortcode.

The plugin automagically converts Blend project URLs into embedded widgets. So I can type this:

And get this:

While developing this plugin, I also added oEmbed support to Blend. This means that consumer applications like Slack can easily detect and get the embed codes for Blend projects just by hitting the public project URL. The great thing about oEmbed is that if we ever change our embed codes in the future, all we have to do is update the response that we return from our oEmbed endpoint, and consumer applications will get the new codes without having to do anything different. It's a clean, future-proof implementation.

If you have a WordPress blog, install the plugin and try it out!
